Martins Okuonghae popularly known as Soundknockdown aka S.K.D was Born on the 26th of March in Edo state Benin City Nigeria.. From an early age he began entertaining and rapping He was heavily influenced by 2Pac, Kurtis Blow, Nas , Jay Z, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and DMX. He adopted the stage name Soundknockdown from his live performance and the way he goes hard on instrumental - basically knocking down instrumentals with his vocals.

S.K.D is known for making great rap music, however, he is also heavily influenced by many of the Nigeria great artist and he is currently in the studio recording his first 9ja pop album and he believes that this will show a completely different side to him and prove just how versatile he is. S.K.D currently based in London is releasing his latest single “ We Won't Stop “ a follow up from his hit track “ what’s my name” S.k.D explains he is excited for the future and what it holds Everyone has dreams, goals and passion” he states. “I am just going for mine”.
