Cynthia Osokogu Buried Finally - Mother Absent From Funeral

After a delayed journey to internment, Cynthia Osokogu, 25, a post-graduate student of the Nasarawa State University and daughter of a retired Major-General, who was allegedly killed by friends she met on Facebook in a hotel in Festac Town in Lagos, has been finally laid to rest on Friday in her hometown of Boji-Boji Owa in Delta state.
Her remains arrived at about 2:25pm and was received by her father, Major General Frank Osokogu. Cynthia’s mother, Joy was however conspicuously absent at the burial.
Her father, while fielding questions from journalist shortly after the burial said the exit of Cynthia had created a vacuum in the family that will be difficult to fill, adding that the family is optimistic of getting justice “now that the case is in court.”
May her gentle soul find eternal rest.
