Asia overtakes US in millionaire ranks

Those of us chasing a filthy-rich partner may have to consider looking at Asia. A new survey by Capgemini and Royal Bank of Canada shows that the highest number of millionaires now reside in Asia. According to the report, there are now 3.37 million men and women with more than $1m to invest, compared with 3.35 million of the megarich in North America.

The overall level of wealth in North America is still the highest in the world with its millionaires controlling $11.4 trillion, while Asian businessmen control $10.7 trillion.
