Kim Kardashian hit a fashion bum note when she stepped out in a odd fringed Marchesa dress with Kanye West in NYC.

The usually chic couple made an appearance on the front row at desinger Marchesa’s collection looking less stylish than usual.
While a casual ‘Ye was clad from head to toe in denim, Kimmy looked rocked the designer’s dress which was covered in fringed deatiling  and had shoulder pads – making her look twice her size.

Nigeria's MAI ATAFO WINS TOP AWARD AT GLITZ AFRICA FASHION WEEK

Nigerian designer, Mai Atafo over the weekend was awarded the Designer of the Year at the Glitz Africa Fashion Week held in Ghana.

Atafo made a telling statement when he displayed his impressive collection which included classic men’s suit, bridal wear and evening wear on the final day of the three day event.

The event which kicked off on Friday, August 17, 2012 featured other designers such as the Ghanaian born South African base Ali Adams, Peachy Purr (Ghana), House Of Eccentric (Ghana), Vonne Couture (Nigeria), Kastle Designs & Treasure Chest (U.S) Martial Tapolo (Paris), Wana Sambo Clothing (Nigeria), Modela Couture (Nigeria), Ivana Elle Couture (Ghana), Ohema Ohene (U.K), Gilles Toure (Côte D’ivoire) amongst others.

Guests included former first lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Juliet Ibrahim, Confidence Haugen, Dele Momodu, Kwesi Jyei Darkwa and others.

Fashion:Colour Blocking: Fact, Tips and Tricks

As a new fashion trend sweeps across Nigeria, we fashion junkies who are rocking the out-going trend seem to be indecisive whether or not to go along with this new tide.

Some people refer to it as colour riot, fashion abuse and others the “in thing”; I sincerely agree that it could be both depending on your style and perfection.

While embracing “daring” colours is something some of us are doing in this season from the orange bags to the green pants and purple blazers, others seem lost in this colour craziness. There are certain rules that come along with each fashion trend just like the 80’s had its long skirts and corsets to this present era, in  colour blocking, there are no rules!!! The bolder you get, the more the trend comes to life.

The point of colour blocking is to be found in colours you never thought you can be seen in. Mix colours up with a little bit of your style, go wild! Orange is always a good colour to colour block.

Nneoma Ikedieze, wife of Chinedu Ikediaze, aka Aki, yesterday Sunday July 15, 2012 was among over 20 designers that graduated from Needlecraft Couture Fashion School. She was unveiled as one of the next star designers at an event that held at NECA House in Ikeja. Her own design label will be set up soon. What in the world was wrong with her heels or don’t she know how to walk in them? Falling on stage is the most embarrassing moment in a person’s life. Great performers in the world has fallen on stage and it’s mostly caused by many things but this one is really absurd. OMG!. Miss Erika Folquet, contestant number 15 at this year’s Miss Cote d’Ivoire beauty pageant was just unlucky when her high heels failed her on stage during the pageant which came off at the Congress of Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan.

FACE OFF! Rihanna VS. Kim K. In GIVENCHY

zzIt's a navy face off for Rihanna & Kim Kardashian!  Both ladies recently rocked a chic navy long sleeved dress from Givenchy.  But decide who ran the look best inside...

Rihanna stepped out for her grandmother Dolly's funeral in Manhattan a week ago in the long sleeved Givenchy jersey shift dress ($1,510) with a V-neck cross-over pleated top.  The pop starlet may have been grieving, but she still made sure to keep up a chic appearance to Honor her grandma.  The "Take Care" singer, rocking her hair in a bun with a side swept bang, paired her curve hugging dress with gold ankle strapped sandals, a few flashy rings, and a pair of shades.

Yesterday, Kim Kardashian made an appearance at her family's new DASH L.A. store opening...with her boyfriend Kanye West on her arm.  The reality chick donned the same navy Givenchy dress (a departure form her usual black & white looks these days), but scrunched the sleeves up to 3/4 length.  And she paired it with black & white snakeskin Louboutin pumps.  Kim complimented her look with a high ponytail and a couple of small necklaces.
