 EME label boss Banky W has released a short video clip on his experience at the July 1, 2012 London Olympic Torch Bearing relay.

‘It was an amazing experience, it was fantastic, I had so more fun….it was great. It’s such an honour to be one of the few people that got selected to do this. I feel very blessed and grateful for this opportunity. I will cherish this torch for the rest of my life and show my kids and grand kids when I have them‘, Banky said minutes after he ran his part of the torch bearing relay.

OLYMPIC:Nigerian Okagbare runs second fastest time

True to expectations from expectant Nigerians fans, Blessing  Okagbare yesterday won her 100m heat to move into the women’s semi-final holding tonight at the Olympic Stadium in London.continue to read more.

If she qualifies, Okagbare, who clocked 10.93secs in last night’s race, her personal best so far, is just a race shy of featuring in the 100m finals holding an hour after the semifinals races are completed. She is joined by compatriot Gloria Asomnu, who returned a time of 11.13 in her heat to qualify for the penultimate stage of the women’s 100m. Camiliter Jeter of the USA clocked the fastest time of 10.83 secs to win her heat and stand a good chance of winning the gold ahead of Okagbare, if both runners reach the final.Although she had a poor start, Okagbare recovered well as she took control of the race on the 50m mark all the way to the destination point, smiling as she crossed the finish line. Moments after her victory, she told reporters at the mixed zone that after working hard and preparing well that she was happy that efforts in vain.

“I have worked so hard to get this far and I am so happy that I am in the semis. I hope there is more to come tomorrow (today) but I am so happy with the way that I ran and I am just expecting a better race tomorrow (today).

The semis hold at 7.35 pm while the final takes place two hours later on the impressive track of the Olympic Stadium, which track and field followers believe is fast and can make the athletes to run faster time in their respective races.

Shocking Video:watch as Olympic water polo player flashes her breast underwater

It may have arguably been the first time in this summer's Olympics a tape delay would have been useful.
On Wednesday NBC's underwater camera captured a women’s water polo player briefly exposing another player's breast to shocked reaction from viewers watching live at home.
'You see a lot of suit grabbing going on underwater,' an NBC sports broadcaster said after the control room cut to the live underwater swimsuit fight between Spain and the U.S.

In the mere seconds’ long attack, the Spanish swimmer is seen thrashing to unlock the American swimmer's grip from her suit that temporarily exposes her breast before sending a quick blow to her attacker's own chest earning her release.
'That was Kamie Craig doing the grabbing but the Spaniard retaliated...' the broadcaster updated viewers after its finish.

London 2012 Olympic: Nigeria’s remaining table tennis player crashes out

Quadri Aruna, Team Nigeria’s remaining table tennis player at the ongoing London 2012 Olympic Games, crashed out of the competition on Sunday.

Aruna lost 2-4 in his second round game to Turkey’s Bora Vang at the ExCel-North Arena 1, in spite of winning the first two games of the fixture.

Aruna, 23, who drew bye into the first round where he beat Carlos Machado of Spain 4-2 on Saturday, had carried Nigeria’s hope of remaining in the event on his shoulders.

The Nigerian team had qualified for only the singles event of the competition and Aruna’s male teammate, Segun Toriola, had earlier crashed out on Saturday, after advancing to the first round.

The two female players, Olufunke Oshonaike and Offiong Edem, had also seen their aspirations cut short on Saturday, with Edem losing her first game in the preliminary round.

Oshonaike had, like Toriola, also won her preliminary round match, before losing in the first round later in the day.

Aruna had, however, briefly given the hope of Nigeria remaining in contention at the competition, after winning his first two games against Vang at 11-6, 12-10 in 12 minutes.

Some 26 minutes later, however, Aruna was to lose 12-10, 11-2, 12-10, 12-10 to his 25-year-old opponent, thus crashing out and ending Nigeria’s hopes in the sport at the Games.

Immediately after Nigeria’s amazing 80-79 triumph over Greece in the Quarter-Finals, point guard Tony Skinn had little doubt about how significant it was.

“It’s got to be the greatest victory in Nigerian history,” he said.

While coaches are usually reluctant to make such proclamations, Nigerian boss Ayo Bakare agreed as he reflected on defeating the world’s fourth and fifth ranked teams in consecutive games.

“The last two victories are the greatest, because we have never broken into the top 20,” he said.

Greece appeared to answer every challenge, usually through the brilliant Vasileios Spanoulis (25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists), but Nigeria never stopped believing.

“Greece was a team we felt we had a pretty good shot at beating ,” forward Ike Diogu said.

“We played them earlier in Brazil and we had that game with five minutes to go until we broke down.”

The Africans finally drew level with 6:06 left in the final period, from where the game became an incredible exchange of tough shots at both ends.

Diogu had seven points and four crucial rebounds in the last 10 minutes, along with a string of hustle plays.

“I know him as the heart and soul of our team,” Bakare said.

“When there is a key rebound he is there, when there is a key block he is there, when we need a basket he is there.”

The real hero though, was guard Ade Dagunduro, who scored Nigeria’s last seven points including a clutch three-pointer in the last minute and two free throws with 3.6 seconds remaining.

He then bravely blocked Spanoulis’ game-winning attempt to seal Nigeria’s greatest triumph.

“I honestly can’t describe it,” he said of the elation after the game.

“When we got 12 down I was like ‘aw man’. But we believed, we believed until the last minute.”
