Victim of horrific Indian gang rape dies in Singapore hospital

Indian police today sealed off parts off New Delhi and appealed for calm after the death of a woman gang-raped on a bus in the city. The woman was flown to Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore for treatment 10 days after she was brutally attacked by six men who inserted an iron rod into her body on December 16. In response to the attack, the Indian government has promised to publicise photos, names and addresses of convicted rapists following days of widespread protests. read full deets inside

The 23-year-old student's body is being flown home after she 'passed away peacefully' in a Singapore hospital where she had been taken for specialist treatment.

She suffered multiple organ failure and a heart attack following the brutal assault on December 16 which has triggered violent public protests.

Her horrific ordeal has galvanised Indians to demand greater protection for women from sexual violence with mass demonstrations, candle-lit vigils and street protests with placards, chants and road blocks. One policeman has died in the protests.
Gatherings of more than five people have been banned in the city centre.

A few hundred protesters arrived this morning at the Jantar Mantar observatory, one of the areas of the city where demonstrations are allowed, the BBC reported.

The victim's family and officials from the Indian High Commission were at her bedside when she lost her 13-day fight for life.

General Buhari loses first daughter

The first daughter of former Head of State and national leader of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) Gen. Muhammad Buhari (rtd), has died. Zulai Buhari died this evening in a hospital in Kaduna just two days after giving birth to a daughter. She was 40. She is survived by her husband, Captain Mahmud Junaid and three children, including the new born baby who is said to be healthy and doing well. Zulai will be put to rest later this night in Kaduna according to Islamic rights.

"I received this mail some days ago, but there were no pictures. The sender just sent the pictures in and it’s not even an anonymous mail. Sometimes blogging could be tiring and sad. I just hate it when you receive such bad news and little or nothing is done about it. It’s just sad. I am only reporting so that you guys can see. People in authority will see this and might still ignore. The mail and the pictures below;

This is to notify you on this story that just got to me from my tribes man, whose brother is one of the dead boys. According to him, his brother worked with a Chinese company in Ikeja (name removed), and he worked at the factory sometime last week, and slept over. His where about could not be determined till the following evening, where his body and that of his friend were found inside the company's swimming pool with blood coming out of their ears, nostrils, and mouth.

To my best of knowledge (i lost a brother to the pool, i.e got drowned). When a human drowns blood does not come out from those places, what we suspect is foul play, perhaps they must have seen or heard something they were not supposed to see or hear, or perhaps the company is into shady deals.

Please I would like to let the country know about the ills of most of these companies, we know they have strong backups, more so this is just one case we know, the next may be someone close to you.

6 people die as cult members clash in UNIBEN

Six people have died, including a popular UNIBEN graduate, Nosa Ebohon aka Biggie, following a cult war supposedly between Aiye Fraternity and Black Axe members of the school.

Nosa and the other five were killed at different locations in Benin last week. Nosa was gunned down on Friday night at a beer parlour along Adolor College Rd. I have photos but I'm sure you guys have seen enough of dead bodies.

President John Evans Atta Mills died this afternoon at the 37 Military Hospital. A few minutes ago we heard rumors that Ghana president was dead, we called our source at the Osu castle who confirmed to us that it’s indeed true that our President is indeed DEAD.
